Privacy Policy
This page explains how Map News (https://map-news.com, "the site") handles information. The site is run by the Map News editorial team.
What we collect
- The site has no accounts, input forms or comment sections. We do not ask for your name, email address or similar details.
- The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It does not use cookies and does not identify individuals. The site itself does not set cookies either (as far as we could confirm on 24 October 2026).
- The site is delivered through Cloudflare. As part of delivery, access records such as your IP address, the pages you view, the time and your browser type may be logged by Cloudflare.
How it is used
Access records are used to keep the site running and to deal with outages or abusive traffic. They are not used to identify individuals.
Third-party services
To show the maps, your browser connects directly to the services below when you open a page, which sends them your IP address and similar data. Each service handles it under its own policy.
- Delivery: Cloudflare (including network error reports)
- Visit counts: Cloudflare Web Analytics (cookieless)
- Map tiles: OpenStreetMap, OpenFreeMap
- Map libraries: cdnjs (Cloudflare), jsDelivr
- Fonts: Google Fonts
- Share buttons (X, LINE, Hatena Bookmark, Facebook, WhatsApp, Reddit, etc.) are plain links that open the service only when you click them. They do not send data to those services just by being on the page.
- The support button (Ko-fi) is an external link shown only when enabled.
Advertising
The site currently has no ads or affiliate links. If they are added in the future, this policy will be updated first.
Sharing with others
We do not sell or hand over collected information to third parties, except where required by law.
