These are the terms for using Map News (https://map-news.com, "the site"). The site is run by the Map News editorial team.

Using the data

Data that the site has collected, organized, summarized or tallied (the JSON files in each map's data/ folder) is generally published under CC BY 4.0. You may copy, adapt, redistribute and use it commercially.

Some maps (such as those based on Wikipedia) use different terms. See "Using our data" (https://map-news.com/data-terms/) for each map's terms.

Every record links to its source. Articles, releases and source datasets themselves remain under the rights and terms of their original providers.

The site compiles events that have already happened, based on news reports and official announcements. It does not show future events or the current situation at any location.
We try to be accurate, but we cannot guarantee that the content is correct or up to date. Please check the original source before making important decisions.
The operator cannot accept responsibility for any loss arising from use of the information on the site.
