This map shows places tagged as toilets (amenity=toilets) on OpenStreetMap, a map anyone can edit, that are marked as wheelchair accessible (wheelchair=yes) or partly accessible (wheelchair=limited). Toilets tagged as private (access=private or no) are not included.
OpenStreetMap does not list every toilet in Japan. Some are missing, some may be closed or under repair, and the facilities may differ from what is listed. Please check with the facility before you go.
Only the location, the name (when listed), whether it is accessible, whether it has a baby changing table and the prefecture are shown. Operators, phone numbers, websites and social media accounts are not included. The prefecture is assigned from the location and may be wrong near prefecture borders.
If a toilet is wrong or missing, fixing it on OpenStreetMap will bring the change into this map at the next monthly update.
