In 2026, demonstrations and rallies took place across Germany over issues including military conscription and rearmament, welfare cuts, health-system reform and the situation in Palestine, along with Pride (CSD) parades and counter-rallies against other gatherings. This map shows demonstrations, rallies and marches confirmed by police statements and news outlets from April to October 2026, one by one, with place, date and sources. It does not judge the organisers' claims or which side is right. Many records are from Nuremberg (12) and Berlin (6); this reflects how often police publish statements and the scope of this research, not the relative amount of protest in each place.
This map lets you follow demonstrations and rallies by date, place and source.
What this map shows
Each circle marks where a demonstration, rally or march was confirmed by police statements or the press, and its size is a rough guide to scale (severity). Select a circle for the date, description and sources. The list is newest first.
Severity is a guide to the number of participants. 1: fewer than 1,000 or no figure published; 2: 1,000 or more; 3: 10,000 or more. Figures are those published by police or the press and may differ between sources.
Locations are approximate, such as a city centre, not the exact site of the gathering. Records confirmed only by a police statement are marked single-source. The map takes no side and names no private individuals, shows no faces and links no social-media accounts.
Questions and answers
Why are there so many records from Nuremberg and Berlin?
Police in both cities publish many statements about gatherings, and it also reflects the scope of this research. The map does not compare the amount of protest between places.
Are participant numbers exact?
They are figures published by police or the press, with the source named. Organisers and police often give different figures, so they are not exact counts.
