Reading the figures

Donations receivedis the amount of furusato nozei donations each local government received in FY2025 (estimated settlement), as reported by every prefecture and municipality to the Ministry.Donationsis the number of donations, andper donationis the amount divided by the number, calculated by this site. The FY2024 amounts come from the Ministry's table covering FY2008 onwards.

Suzaka (Nagano) has 0 donations and ¥0 for FY2025 in the table (about ¥4.7 billion in FY2024). The table alone does not show whether this means no donations or no answer, so the map shows it as unconfirmed (grey) and leaves it out of the ranking.

The change from the previous year is the difference between the two years' figures. The table gives no reasons, so this map does not either.

What this map shows

Colours show the furusato nozei (hometown tax donation) amount each municipality received in FY2025 (1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026, estimated settlement). Darker means more. Designated cities are shown with figures for the whole city, and their wards share the city's colour.
